Remote Commercial Title Examiner - GPAC : Job Details

Seeking an experienced Remote Commercial Title Examiner. The Remote Commercial Title Examiner will oversee the completion of all title work for clients in your assigned market. The Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles to determine legal condition of commercial and vacant land. Responsibilities: Perform title examination and analysis requiring a high level of title expertise Review and analyze survey maps, plats, and legal descriptions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Receive all title searches for review and examination as appropriate. Examine title searches to prepare title commitments. Deliver title commitments to appropriate parties, including realtors, lenders, etc. Examines chain of title for commercial properties Examine and analyze title records such as leases, subleases, liens, judgments, easements, business entity documents and plot and map books Interpret complex legal documents Verify detailed ownership reports and abstracts Perform survey reads on commercial projects, prepare responses to objection letters, prepare pro forma policies and endorsements Prepare and review reports Prepare title commitments, update title commitments and make necessary revisions Must be able to map metes and bounds Serve as a resource to the examinations team on title questions. Maintain a strong working relationship with underwriting counsel. Address all client requests and parties associated with the transaction in a timely manner. Job Requirements: Working knowledge of real property laws, examining and underwriting policies and procedures, title insurance policies, endorsements, services and pricing Knowledge of NY, NJ, PA commercial real estate matters Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner Ability to operate in an environment with tight deadlines and strict standards Ability to communicate effectively with clients, orally and in writing A minimum of 3 years of Commercial Title Examination experience Excellent Benefits If this sounds like the type of opportunity you see yourself transitioning into next, contact Julie Gross at 605-###-#### .
