Job Description :

A well-established workers' compensation defense firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team. This role involves providing comprehensive support to attorneys, including transcribing legal dictation, preparing trial documents, and managing case files. The ideal candidate has strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a friendly, professional demeanor. Must reside in California. Not considering out of state candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe legal dictation for status reports, conference summaries, and settlement documents
  • Proofread and correct materials for grammar, spelling, and format accuracy
  • Prepare Pre-Trial Conference Statements, settlement documents, and trial exhibits
  • Maintain and organize case files and logs in a paperless environment
  • Accurately document and bill tasks in accordance with billing procedures

Top Skills:

  • 2-5+ years of workers' compensation defense experience
  • Strong computer skills, especially in a paperless environment
