REMOTE Medical Assistant - Insight Global : Job Details

An insurance company is looking to hire 5 remote Medical Assistants to join their virtual primary care clinic. You will provide live video virtual check-in and check-out and live phone and messaging support for patients. You will provide support for your Care Team, including Virtual MDs, Advanced Practitioners, and Registered Nurses. You will be proactive in planning for each patient's medical needs from initial outreach to solution. You will build trust and relationships with patients by setting clear expectations and following up with action. You will assist with the order process, including sending requisition forms, and coordinating referrals. You will close the loop with providers after referrals are made, including collecting patient notes from providers. You will be responsible for scheduling appointments with patients for follow up care and call providers and facilities to clarify information and help solve complex cases. You will coordinate with internal departments to facilitate patient care and with external providers and facilities to ensure patient needs are met (laboratories, imaging facilities, pharmacies, vendors). You must be able to walk patients through vital checks/ blood pressure tests virtually. This is very important. Required Skills & Experience- Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.- 2+ years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably within a remote environment and/or in an ambulatory setting- Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)- Must be willing to work EST; shift could be anytime between 7am-8pm EST Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Bilingual in Spanish- Proficient in Google Workspace; experience using Adobe, Slack, Docusign Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
