Akkodis is seeking a Remote Part-Time Animal Health Regulatory Affairs Assistant for a six-month contract job with possible extension with a client in Kalamazoo, MI. You will provide part-time support (10-20 hours a week) for the Regulatory Specialist. You must have a background in animal nutrition or animal health supplement regulatory affairs and keep current with local, state and federal regulations that affect business operation. This position will report to the Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
Rate Range: $28.00/hour to $30.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Remote Part-Time Animal Health Regulatory Affairs Assistant job responsibilities include:
• Support the daily review and approval of marketing and sales materials for compliance, marketing reviews and state regulations paperwork
• Support the review, revision and drafting of labelling for compliance
• Maintain state licensing and registrations.
• Assist with select international markets' registrations as needed
• Assist with adverse event management and reporting
• Assist with export documentation drafting and review
• Support the review of recycled content and extended producer responsibility regulations and its application to the business
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience, animal health highly preferred. Must be able to hit the ground running with little to no training.
• Must be familiar with applicable regulations and guidelines including but not limited to Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), 21 CFR 111 Human Dietary Supplements, 21 CFR Part 507 Animal Food, AAFCO label standards/model bill and NASC labeling guidelines
• Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be well-organized, detail oriented, and able to work within deadlines
• Experience in Regulatory Affairs in animal food and/ or animal health supplements required.
• Strong understanding of animal nutrition or health supplements, especially equine and companion animal nutrition
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
