Veterinary Recruiter
With more than 460 General Practice, Specialty, and Emergency Small Animal & Equine Hospitals; PetVet Care Centers is a nationwide veterinary network with a solid commitment to every community we serve. Our locations are managed locally and supported globally.
Reporting to the VP, Talent Acquisition, the Veterinary Recruiter will work closely with Hospital Medical Directors, Managers, and our Operations team to attract, secure, and retain exceptional veterinarians.
Ideally, this candidate will be on the West Coast.
Responsibilities
Recruiting and hiring doctors based on needs identified by Operations LeadershipDevelop and maintain current, effective job listings through the ATS systemCreate advertising content, place ads where appropriate for each type of positionInterview all DVM candidates and facilitate all on-site interviews, tours, dinners, meet and greets with appropriate department headsCreate and facilitate regular meeting times (bi-weekly) for support candidate interviews held by the Hospital AdministratorRoutinely update Operations and Talent Acquisition leadership on candidate flow, sourcing efforts, roadblocks to recruitment, and regional competition (job openings, advertised comp and incentives, etc); accurately track key recruiting and retention metricsDrive in-network and external referralsKnow the local DVM talent pool and connect by leveraging contact through networking and cold callsSource passive candidates via resume databases, LinkedIn, Facebook Groups, and other connection tools such as email, text, and telephoneWork closely with Sourcing team to execute targeted campaigns and social media contentAssist Operations team with offer formulation; compose, discuss, and assist with the negotiation of employment contractsQualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Recruiter.
- Strong communication, multi-tasking, and business partnering skills
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Ability to self-direct
- Experience with sourcing candidates via resume databases and social media platforms
This is a full-time position working remotely but on the West Coast. Travel required 2-6x per year for veterinary conferences. M-F workweek required.

Salary Range of $90 - $110k with Incentive Bonus Plan
