RENTAL PROPERTY MANAGER/HOUSING ASSISTANT
About the Role:
The Student Development Department is seeking a Rental Property Manager/Housing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing rental properties and assisting the Housing Director in various department responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to ensure that all properties are well-maintained and meet all legal requirements. You will also be responsible for assisting with housing programs, including processing applications and providing support to tenants. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field
* Some experience in property management or a related field
* Knowledge of landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
* Manage rental properties, including leasing, rent collection, and maintenance
* Ensure that all properties meet legal requirements and are well-maintained
* Assist with housing office, including processing applications and communication with students
* Maintain accurate records and prepare reports as needed
* Communicate effectively with tenants, and resident students
Skills:
As a Rental Property Manager/Housing Assistant, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, and resident students. You will also use your strong organizational and time-management skills to manage rental properties and assist with housing programs. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law and fair housing regulations is helpful. Overall, this role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
