Job Summary The Repack Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day packing operations from our Arizona base of operations. This is a dynamic role that ensures products are packed according to company standards and customer specifications while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. This role is also responsible for fomenting effective communication between various departments including sales, quality control, compliance, and operations. The successful position holder is computer literate, bilingual, and possesses strong communication, planning, and problem solving skills. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the daily activities of workers engaged in repacking fresh produce.
- Ensure packed products meet packing specs, labeling specs, quality, and condition standards.
- Liaise between the operations and sales teams, communicating effectively and often.
- Ensure repack runs are reflected accurately in Famous Software.
- Maintain positive and productive relationships with packing facility management and operations teams.
- Enforce staff adherence to food safety policies and procedures in the repack area, coordinating between facility management and the compliance team as needed.
- Ensure packing activities are carried out in a clean and safe packing environment.
- Oversee inventory levels of items repacked for everyday sales.
- Provide feedback on how to improve packing techniques and packaging material selection.
- Maintain accurate physical inventory of all packaging supplies and ensure proper rotation.
- Participate in food safety and security employee training programs as needed.
- Support the organization with other work activities and projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fresh produce packing operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Ability to speak English and Spanish fluently.
- Proven ability to lead a team and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Famous Software experience preferred
- Ability to work in a cold environment.
- Working knowledge of USDA Grades and Standards.
- Able to work extended hours, including weekends.
- Must have a current and valid driver license.
