What are we looking for in our Repair Technician?

The Scientific Team at Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for Repair Technician near San Antonio, TX

Principle Responsibilities:

Process VAC devices for repair, refurbishment, and salvage according to quality procedures.

Test, diagnose, and repair and customer-owned devices.

Rework and replace cable assemblies, wire harnesses, ribbon cables, and cord sets.

Repair defective circuit boards and manage software firmware uploads/downloads.

Clean and salvage spare parts.

Reassemble units and perform quality control tests before shipping.

Manage parts inventory accurately.

Provide technical support over the phone.

Assist in R&D and testing of new products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Pass a fitness test for physical job demands.

At least 18 years old.

1 year of experience in electrical assembly, soldering, troubleshooting, and/or repair.

Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Ability to meet productivity and quality standards.

Knowledge of electrical schematics, BOMS, test procedures, and work instructions.

Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.

Ability to work independently and complete tasks on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with soldering iron guns and de-soldering equipment.

Background in medical device repair or manufacturing.

Associate degree in electrical or related field.

Additional Details:

• Onsite position
• Position type: 6 months contract opportunity
• Pay rate: $18-$20/hr depending on experience

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
