Under general direction, serves as a lead for analytics/BI teams responsible for designing and development and testing processes for data visualization deliverables. Escalate concerns to management, determines best practices and provides suggestions on how to improve current practices. Serves as a leader for the Analytics group and supports management in training team members.

**Job Description**

****Essential Job Functions****

* Provides complex BI design documents and translates into component-level designs to accelerate development. Assists in developing strategy, design and data gathering approaches.

* Provides high level design expertise in support of development team efforts to provide flexible reusable components to increase cost effectiveness. Analyzes, designs and reviews design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied.

* Responsible for general status and prioritization of work activities for Analytics/BI application deliverables

* Interacts with external stakeholders and client technical leads on solution design, task progress, roadblocks and dependencies

* Understands processes and procedures and advocates for their use with all project members both inside and outside the Analytics team.

* Engages other team leads to solve problems across departments. Ensures adequate engagement and attention from other teams by engaging their leads and leadership where required.

* Provides guidance to the Infrastructure team for Analytics application server architecture requirements and disk capacity/performance needs.

* May maintain work plan for assigned team members. Assigns and prioritizes Analytics tasks, ensuring that tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule and that a balanced workload is maintained among team members. Provides technical leadership to the team.

* Advises management on alternatives for implementing project objectives.

* Develops, documents, and rolls out policies and procedures. Communicates policies and procedures to the group and other project teams and enforces adherence to processes and procedures.

* Solves complex issues in innovative ways.

* Analytical skills in a SQL environment

* BI/Tabular Report design and development knowledge

* Data presentation and design knowledge utilizing tools such as PowerBI/SSRS, Tableau, Qlik.

* Ability to lead small teams

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work

* Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

****Required Education****

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

****Required Experience****

* 5+ years BI design and development experience,

* 5+ years Microsoft BI stack experience (SSRS, SSAS, PowerBI, SSIS)

* 5+ years of MS-SQL query language experience

* 5+ years Data Analysis experience

* 3+ years of Project Management experience

* 2 3 years leading small teams

** **Preferred Experience****

* Experience with analyzing, management and visualization of Healthcare Data (member, provider, claims etc.)

* PMI Certification

* Scrum/Agile Certification

* MS SQL BI, Database related certifications
