Research Assistant - The Davis Companies : Job Details

Research Assistant - Contract one year plus in NC.

B.S. degree in a scientific discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, including one year in molecular biology research, neuromuscular disease research and/or gene therapy research or development.

• Demonstrated mastery of basic laboratory methods working with attention to detail and high standards for data integrity and quality.
• Proven experience with a variety of analytical techniques, methods of development and validation.
• Ability to execute sample handing, testing, data management and data analysis with strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices and SOPs.
• Knowledge of RNA biology and gene expression analysis. Experience with DNA/RNA purification, PCR, immunofluorescence (IF) staining and imaging, and Western blot is preferred.
• Desire to work in a high-functioning, collaborative team.
