Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Research Associate I (Agriculture). The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting UAV flights over agriculture research fields and grower fields. They are the boots on the ground for our data collection activities that feed into the aerialPLOT pipeline. You will collect imagery via drone, process that data locally, and then upload to aerialPLOT. Once you've mastered the art of analytical quality data collection, you'll then learn the art of translating that data into meaningful and actionable insights for our clients. This role involves extensive travel throughout California working in a variety of cropping systems. Individuals with existing Part 107s will receive additional consideration, and Part 137 experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Agricultural Production and Agriculture skills
• Analytical Skills and Economics knowledge
• Effective communication skills
• Experience in agricultural research is a plus
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Science, or related field
• Technology savvy
• Ability to pass the Part 107 within 7 business days of joining aerialPLOT
• Must already live in California
