Research Associate - South Dakota Board of Regents : Job Details

South Dakota State University (SDSU) is currently seeking a highly motivated and detailed Research Associate to join our Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics department. This position will provide technical assistance to research through Sequencing Core Facility and COBRE center. This position is located in Brookings and is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The Genomics Sequencing Facility provides sequencing services to all SDSU researchers and to others across the state of South Dakota and beyond. The facility works in a highly collaborative environment with an open-door policy for users and stakeholders. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and guide sequencing runs on Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms. Oversee the operation, maintenance, and supply management for sequencing equipment.
