The Batista Lab at the Ragon Institute of Mass General, MIT, and Harvard in Boston is seeking a Research Project Manager to coordinate milestones and administrative tracking for a pre-clinical vaccine research program. The selected candidate will assist a dynamic team at the forefront of immunology in grant, personnel, and financial management. The ideal candidate will be directly familiar with life sciences research and interested in growing into a project management role.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Liaises with funders and collaborators at a range of institutions to provide knockin mice for downstream applications.
* Communicates with stakeholders, including collaborating labs, mouse facilities, and funding organizations.
* Track milestones for ongoing collaborations across immunology labs.
* Coordinates project MTAs, IP, and patent filings.
* Assists in tracking of grant funds and invoices.
* Participate in grant and proposal writing alongside other lab personnel.
* Facilitate implementation of awards by collaborating with the MGH grant office, activating salary assignments to grants, and other associated tasks.
* Assist researchers in personnel recruitment and onboarding.
Education:
BS/BA required; MS preferred
Years of Experience:
For BS/BA: 5 years of related experience or
MS: 2-3 years of related experience
Qualifications:
* Previous experience with small animal research strongly preferred
* Hands-on experience with life sciences research required
* This will be an outwardly facing position interacting with collaborators: good interpersonal skills are key
* Must communicate regularly and effectively with team members and PI
Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable):
No direct oversight of individual lab members, but the Project Manager will consult with PI and senior researchers on lab member activities and assignments.
