Job Title: Research Scientist II/Senior Research Scientist Company: Immunome, Inc. Location: Bothell, WA Company Overview Immunome is a clinical-stage targeted oncology company committed to developing first- and best-in-class targeted therapies designed to improve outcomes for cancer patients. We are advancing an innovative portfolio of therapeutics, drawing on leadership that previously played key roles in the design, development, and commercialization of cutting-edge targeted cancer therapies, including antibody-drug conjugate therapies (ADCs.) In addition to a portfolio of discovery-stage ADCs, our pipeline includes AL102, a gamma secretase inhibitor which is currently in a Phase 3 trial for treatment of desmoid tumors, as well as IM-1021, a ROR1 ADC, and IM-3050, a FAP-targeted radioligand, both of which are the subject of INDs expected to be submitted in the first quarter of 2025. Position Overview As a Research Scientist II/Senior Research Scientist in biology, you will play a key role in advancing our drug development pipeline. You will design and execute a diversity of in vitro experiments, analyze data, and contribute valuable insights to Immunome's pre-IND programs. Key ResponsibilitiesResearch Design and Execution:
  • Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to design and plan experiments aimed at advancing drug development projects.
  • Independently execute laboratory experiments, following established protocols and ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor.
  • Establish new methods for evaluating lead candidate molecules.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
  • Independently analyze experimental data and summarize findings as table or graphs.
  • Interpret results and draw meaningful conclusions to inform decision-making on pre-IND pipeline programs.
Project Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with colleagues from diverse scientific disciplines, including chemistry, pharmacology, and translational medicine to achieve project goals.
  • Participate in project team meetings, providing expertise and insights to drive projects forward.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic laboratory notebooks documenting experimental procedures, results, and conclusions.
  • Prepare and present research findings to internal teams and contribute to project updates.
Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in techniques for evaluating targeted therapeutics.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for professional development and contribute to the scientific growth of the research team.
Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in biology, cell biology, cancer biology, immunology, or related field. Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience (or 6+ years of experience with a Master's degree) in research organizations, CROs, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry with a focus on drug development. Knowledge and Skills
  • Expertise in cell culture and cell-based techniques, including flow cytometry, stable cell line generation, internalization assays, and cytotoxicity assays.
  • Experience in ELISA and gene expression analyses using RT-qPCR is a plus. Familiarity with automation (liquid handler) is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific data.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
