ResponsibilitiesConduct research into fundamental computer and information science as theorists, designers, or inventors. Develop solutions to problems in the field of computer hardware and software.
Conduct logical analyses of business, scientific, engineering, and other technical problems, formulating mathematical models of problems for solution by computers. Evaluate project plans and proposals to assess feasibility issues. Participate in multidisciplinary projects in areas such as virtual reality, human-computer interaction, or robotics. Lead the development of perception, deep-learning AI and robotics techniques and software for robotic applications. Publish research at top Robotics, Perception and AI conferences. Integrate new perception and AI techniques into large-scale research demonstrations of robotic manipulation capabilities for manufacturing and other applications. Communicate ideas, problems, and results within and outside Autodesk Research. Collaborate with researchers and developers in Autodesk Research and academic/industry partners.
Minimum RequirementsMaster's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a software/robotics engineering-related occupation.

Salary TransparencySalary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $172,800 - $200,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
