Forget, for a second, where you came from, and leave with a memory that keeps you coming back.Position SummaryThe Reservations Agent is responsible for the accurate recording and processing of reservations as well as the maximization of room sales through pro-active selling and up-selling techniques. Responsibilities
- Responsible for handling all incoming reservation requests and cancellations via phone, email, etc.
- Support inputting of group room detail into Opera from Sales team as needed.
- Determine caller's needs through active listening and using probing questions to satisfy and sell to those needs.
- Remain up to date with hotel information, local attractions, restaurant, and transportation options.
- Receive and respond to left messages and email messages in a timely manner.
- Input group rooming lists using reservation systems.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a luxury or upscale property preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English; Bi-lingual is a plus.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
- Experience utilizing Opera is a plus.
