Reservations Agent - Chatham Bars Inn : Job Details

We invite you to join the high-energy team at Chatham Bars Inn, a Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Hotel on Cape Cod, Massachusetts with 25 oceanfront acres, 217 rooms and suites, five restaurants, boating, a private beach, full-service spa, 8-acre farm and endless recreation activities. Open year round, the Inn is a five-minute stroll from Chatham's charming Main Street and within a short drive of all Cape Cod has to offer. The Reservations Agent will be responsible for but not limited to handling all incoming reservations calls with efficiency and professionalism, be able to make reservations, cancellations, and answer questions on rates, hotel facilities, services and special promotions. Requirements: •Reservations experience, hotel/resort preferred •Experience in sales preferred •Superior customer service skills •Ability to multi-task •Strong attention to detail and organization •Excellent computer skills •Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills •Must be able to sit for long periods of time •Flexibility with regards to weekly schedules is necessary as is being able to work weekends and holidays COMMENTS: This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy people, servicing and selling. Working in the Reservations Department gives individuals well-rounded knowledge of the hotel which includes all services, activities, and hotel amenities. This position includes hourly pay plus incentive pay. Hybrid position (4 days remote / 1 day in the Chatham office). Training will take place in person at the Chatham office over the course of several months.
