Position Details:Summary of Duties:The Residence Hall Operations Coordinator is a is a full-time, 12-month appointment, reporting to the Assistant Director of Housing Operations. The Residence Hall Operations Coordinators provide oversight of 4 area desks serving more than 4,500 students for their keys, mail, and room assignment needs. These positions oversee all aspects of the room change and contract termination process for first-year students, returning students, transfer students, international students, and other specific populations. These positions also support summer operations through the summer residence hall and summer conference program.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Relevant leasing office, residence hall desk, conference operation or living group experience.
- Must be willing and able to keep regular hours and work some evenings and weekends.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting under-represented populations.
Preferred Qualifications:- A Master's degree in College Student Personnel/Higher Education Administration/Counseling Psychology or a related field.
- Experience with HMS Odyssey, StarRez or other Housing Management System.
- Experience with Intra or other mail management system.
- Experience in facility access management and oversight (keys, access cards, etc.)
- Experience with conference or hospitality operations.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under stressful conditions.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student and staff population.
- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of student development and academic success.
- Demonstrated ability to work with students and administrators in a broad range of situations and demonstrate a genuine concern/interest for the welfare of students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
- Demonstrated communication skills, public relation skills, and public speaking skills.
