Resident Aide - Longview : Job Details

As a Resident Aide, you will provide essential support and assistance to residents in a residential care community, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your primary responsibilities will include helping residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. You will also engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote their physical and emotional health. In this role, you will maintain a clean and safe environment, report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff, and adhere to all policies and procedures. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach are essential as you work closely with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care. Typical duties/responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support residents in participating in social and recreational activities.
• Monitor and document residents' physical and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

RequirementsEvery other weekend rotation requirement and holidays as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a HHA, PCA preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move residents safely.
