***$1,000 Retention Bonus*** Village at Belmar, Lakewood's premiere senior living community, is seeking a caring and organized Resident Assistant to join our team. You would be responsible for providing hand on care to residents helping them with activities of daily living. This is a full-time or part-time position, must have weekend availability. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual's service plan
- Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents
- Maintains residents' records in our digital platform daily. This includes documentation related to leisure activities, incidents and observations, reporting change in resident's physical or mental condition, visitors, etc.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents
- Responds promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends
Qualifications:
- 3-6 months as a direct service provider
- Experience providing care to older adults preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment
- Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed
Pay:$17.75 - $18.50 an hour, based on experienceRetention bonus paid in two installments; the first half at 60 days of employment, and the second at 120 days of employment. Must be employed at time of distribution to be eligible to receive bonus.
