Part-Time Activities Specialist. Optimistic, outgoing, empathetic, creative, adaptable, friendly and compassionate individuals who genuinely enjoy building meaningful relationships with older adults will thrive in this role.Resident Engagement team members are responsible for motivating residents to engage in programming that engages the mind, body and spirit in wellness and community. They will plan, organize, coordinate and lead engaging programs to assure that the needs of all residents are met/maintained on an individual and/or group basis. Programs will support resident's physical, social, intellectual and spiritual well-being. The Specialist will work closely with the Resident Engagement team to determine and implement resident and community-wide activities, and then complete documentation about the events once the event is completed.
Typical responsibilities include:- Plan, organize and evaluate Resident Engagement programs for the campus, including skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living
- Build deep and meaningful relationships with residents throughout campus
- Support and lead resident programs, special events, and off-site trips
- Secure contracted instructors for presentations, special events, and recreational programs as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure awareness, education, communication and participation in Resident Engagement initiatives throughout the campus
- Work closely with Resident Council, Resident Committees, or representatives to support resident programs and events
- Perform required documentation of participation to record resident engagement
Details- This is a part-time position. The schedule will typically be 18 - 20 hours per week. One 8-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday will be required
- The ability to work during the day and into the evening is preferred, as resident events occur during all times of the day and into the evening
- At least one year of experience in a similar role is required
Benefits and Compensation - The pay range for this position is $19.95 - $22.40 per hour and is based on experience. Bonuses equaling up to 3% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year
- Differentials in the amount of $1.50 per hour are paid for any shift worked between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am. ClarkLindsey offers optional enrollment and/or access to the following benefits to full time and part time employees:

Qualifications- Per the Illinois Department of Public Health, all team members must receive the annual influenza vaccine (exemption requests will be reviewed). We also encourage team members to get the latest COVID-19 vaccine
- Experience with PointClickCare and Microsoft Teams a plus
- Must be able to use technology (i.e. Microsoft products) to complete job functions including reporting, documenting and communicating. Must have a level of understanding to teach others how to optimally use technology
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Must have a general knowledge of, and contact with, available community programs to assist the elderly
