POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing resident support services afterhours to the ESSHI Participants within phase II of the Meadows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for on foot rounding of phase II of the Meadows to be proactive with enforcing property management house rules & ESSHI obligations. Follow rounding schedule as outlined by ESSHI Program Manager. Maintain both written and electronic record of interactions throughout shift. Follow established protocol for reporting incidents to on call, Property Manager, throughout shift. Establish rapport with ESSHI Participants and Meadows Tenants to help facilitate a sense of community within the Meadows phase II property and promote safety awareness. Must have the ability to problem solve and think quickly in high stress situations. Possess the ability to communicate clearly. Perform afterhours lock outs with agreeing participants and complete appropriate documentation. Able to approach and deescalate situations occurring on property in a safe manner. Assist ESSHI participants with grocery/mail deliveries; including carrying to apartments. Be knowledgeable and able to speak to and enforce ESSHI obligations/agreements. Provide supportive services after hours in adherence with the program directives. Perform all other duties as outlined by the Program Manager/Director. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree – Human Services or related field.
- Preferred experience working with aging population.
- Have good physical health, as indicated by documentation in the Human Resources Files, the ability to lift 50lbs and remain on feet throughout majority of shift.
- This position does have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HAZARDS:
- Job related tasks do not involve exposure or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment.
