Job Description :

Pay Rate: $18 - $19 The Residential Aide assists in developing the therapeuticprogram and treatment plan by helping to create a therapeutic environment. Through direct service, the Residential Aidecollaborates with a multi-disciplinary team in achieving the goals of theresidential program and the clients who reside there. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes daily administrative functions in a timely manner
  • Meets regularly with and documents resident progress
  • Assist in maintenance of the unit(s)
  • Assists in supervising residents with housekeeping tasks,repairs, ordering of supplies
  • Prepares plans of actions and behavior sheets when necessary
  • Adheres to facility policies and procedures for residentaide services
  • Supervises residents on a daily basis per protocol
  • Ensures adequate levels of supervision are met based onmaterial and physical needs of the resident
  • Available for consultation on group issues, and helpsmaintain group milieu
  • Attends and schedules progress review meetings
  • Maintains availability for consultation and assistance asneeded by the residents
  • Counsels residents in collaboration with residentialcoordinator(s)
  • Provides behavior management, and reasonable expectations toresidents according to facility protocols and individual resident treatmentplans
  • Assists in conflict resolution
  • Facilitates each resident gaining insight and understandingof themselves and others through discussion of daily happenings and theirprogress in coping with the practical experiences and problems of living in thegroup/functioning in society
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in social sciences preferred
  • One year relevant experience in a residential treatmentsetting highly preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (per state or clientrequirements)
  • Current valid driver's license (per state or clientrequirements)
  • Crisis prevention course certified preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency programwhen applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable tojob site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAArequirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
