Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.We are currently seeking a Part-time Residential Aide. Hours: Week 1: Mon, Wed and Fri 8:00AM-4:00PM Week 2: Wed, Sat and Sun 8:00AM-4:00PM, This person is responsible for the immediate safety of residents, security of facility and continuity of program services during designated hours. They will work closely with the House Manager and other direct care staff to assist residents in developing and implementing activities and recreational opportunities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide for residents' safety by periodically checking on them and observing any special precautions that might be listed in the chart or log book.
  • Ensure security of the building.
  • Carry out specific, applicable treatment plans with residents as listed in the ISP (Individual Service Plan).
  • Interact with residents and assist them in skill building and recreational activities per ISP.
  • Check on the residents' follow through on required assignments.
  • Document significant events in the resident's chart and facility log book.
  • Perform cooking, cleaning chores as necessary such as straightening up kitchen, washing dishes, dusting, facility laundry, etc.
  • Respond to and handle situations and/or consult with supervisor.
  • Report maintenance problems to the House Manager.
  • Carries out policy and procedures of the agency, may participate in community work, staff development, agency wide projects and serve on committees/teams. Attends meetings and performs other related duties as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EOE/M/F/H/V Requirements
  • High school diploma and previous experience working with persons who have a severe mental health disability or, enrolled in an educational program in the social services/mental health field preferred.
  • Medication experience preferred.
  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • Will be required to have an initial background check (includes information regarding any prior criminal convictions or pleas of guilty) to determine fitness to provide services to individuals served.
  • Those eligible to drive company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage as defined by the agency commercial insurance carrier. Those who drive personal vehicles in the course of business must be able to provide proof of insurance.
