The Residential Aide will be the primary connection between the operations staff and the clients. The residential aide will spend a large amount of time with the residents. They will spend this time helping client who need more hands on assistance. They will also provide insight to the current atmosphere in the facility and what are the current client complaints or recommendations. Salary rate:$16-$21/HRResponsibilities consist of but not limited to:Perform Daily room and bed inspectionsPack up and log items for AWOL residentsEscort client to appointmentsAssist in the monitoring and development of resident's independent living skillsMonitor and track furniturePerform nightly bed countsFill in for kitchen staff when necessaryConflict resolution between residentsCover operations desk when necessaryAnswer phones when necessaryHelp maintain the cleanliness of the buildingMonitor common areas to ensure proper usageEducation/ License:High School Diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferredFood handlers certificate a plusQualifications:2 years of applicable experience in shelter or residential settingBilingual Spanish RequiredPassion for working with individuals and families who are in transitional housingExcellent communication skills, comfortable working with othersAbility to maintain accurate records, to prepare and submit all required paperwork in a timely and accurate mannerKnowledge of DHS requirements and protocolsAbility to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretionMust be able to multi task with strong organizational skillsBilingual is a requiredBenefits:We offer to the chosen candidate a generous compensation package!Acacia network is an Equal Opportunity EmployerJob Requirements
