Job Title: Residential Coordinator Assistant

Location: Springfield, Mo

Job Summary:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for assisting the Clinical Team in assigned treatment procedures. Responsible for supervision/monitoring of client/patients, modeling appropriate behavior and providing a safe/therapeutic community. Provides orientation of program expectations to clients/patients and orientation of associates to programmatic operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee daily activities of clients/patients ensuring expectations and rules are adhered to communicating pertinent behaviors to treatment team.

* Assist in orientation of client/patient population with regards to client rights and rules.

* Adhere to all medication policies and work with trained Behavioral Health Technicians to ensure all medication policies are followed.

* Document client activities occurring on shifts that are relevant to clients'/patients' progress or behavior.

* Screen and monitor detoxification clients to ensure that safety and recovery needs are being met if applicable.

* Provide client transportation as needed.

* Participate in new Behavioral Health Technician hiring - interview and selection.

* Assist in training/orienting/Supervising Behavioral Health Technicians.

* Provide and document supervision of direct reports on a regularly scheduled basis.

* Facilitate Behavioral Health Technician meetings as scheduled.

* Assist with Staff Schedules and provide coverage for vacant shifts.

* Prepare or assist in preparation of group curricula and group education material.

* Perform the duties of a Behavioral Health Technician.

* Assist with crisis facilitating behavioral interventions in an effort to de-escalate crisis situations.

* Ensure that information related to an unusual incident is collected and reported in adherence to Policy.

* Assure documentation is completed following State Regulatory/CARF standards, including all groups being entered for the shift, by the end of the shift.

* Complete all mandatory trainings that are within the required time frame within State Regulatory/CARF Standards, obtaining 36 hours of training every 2 years.

* Facilitate education or recreation groups as scheduled.

* Complete Annual Evaluations for direct reports within designated time frame.

* Demonstrates interest in long term and short-term goals and objectives of the company.

* Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use disorder and mental health treatment; familiarity with HIPAA /42 CFR Part II.

* Ability to establish rapport with client population.

* Adept at verbal de-escalation techniques in response to crisis.

* Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing tasks in regard to impact on client/patient population and overall programmatic functioning.

* Demonstrate leadership ability

* Ability to participate and contribute to curricula development.

* Capable of communicating ideas clearly and effectively both verbally and written to produce clear and concise reports.

Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

* Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field: OR

* High School education or General Equivalency Diploma; AND

* At least two (2) years responsible employment history.

* At least one (1) year of supervisory responsibility is preferred.
