Residential Life Supervisor Schedule per week: Tuesday- Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm Location: Travel to Paterson and Secaucus Locations Job Summary: Supervise Residential Life staff and client outside appointments. Ensure a clean and orderly physical plant and take a leadership role in maintaining a safe, disciplined and caring environment on the unit. Be available on-call 24/7 in the absence of Senior Residential Life Director. Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a safe, disciplined and caring environment on the unit and wherever the unit's clients and children travel within or outside the agency.
Assume responsibilities of Residential Life Director in his/her absence from the agency in coordination with program director and/or designee Have a thorough knowledge of CC-Straight & Narrow's Policies & Procedures and Clients' Handbook and enforce the rules and structures contained therein. Assist in scheduling all Residential Life (RL) Associates and ensure there is adequate coverage on all shifts. Assign on-going and specific tasks to RL Associates, filling in, when necessary, to ensure their completion. Oversee Petty Cash as assigned. Provide client interventions as needed Attend client interventions, case conferences and Multidisciplinary Meetings (MDT), Team Morning Meetings in the absence of the RL Director. Appoint Room Representative as needed for new clients. Assign clients' rooms, ensure rooms are labeled appropriately. Oversee Jobsite roster on every client. Schedule clients for sick call when assigned Schedule clients' outside appointments (OSA's) and coordinate with transportation or provide transportation by unit for approved OSA's; assign staff or resident to escort each OSA, when assigned Ensure that daily client count sheet is prepared and completed by RL staff. Schedule and supervise clients' daily housekeeping tasks (General Inspections) during assigned shifts. Monitor and order all household supplies for the unit and urine analysis supplies Notify kitchen in advance of all activities that require changing a meal time or reduce the number of meals required. Ensure that new clients are greeted and oriented appropriately by RL Associate staff. Keep a current log of clients on Behavioral Change Agreements (BCA) Collect clients' urines and administer breathalyzer test in accordance with Policy & Procedure on an as needed basis. Follow all Electronic Health Records (EHR) policies. Document and Process all Special Request for clients on the units and ensure the Clinical Care Managers receive these Special Request Forms Maintain and File all documents regarding special dietary needs Ensure clients honor the scheduled appointments with Medical, nutritionist, etc. Qualifications: Associates Degree with 3 years' relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two-year experience working in the field of addiction treatment. Two years' supervisory experience required. Have CPR certification or achieve CPR certification within thirty days from the date of hire. Behavioral Assistance Certification preferred, especially for adolescent treatment unit. Must have a valid driver's license from the state of residence and a clear driving record.
