SALARY: Compensation is commensurate with years of related experience, position requirements, and candidate qualifications. The hourly salary for the position is $16.80.Seeking a Residential Monitor for our Palos Hills CILA and South Chicago CILA programs. Must have flexible availability for shifts 3PM-11PM and 11PM-7AM on Saturdays, but also have some availability for Sundays and holidays on an as-needed basis. Must be available to work at least three shifts per month. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Reports building maintenance service needs to landlords and/or real estate agencies.
- Makes quarterly apartment inspections.
- Schedules annual inspections with the Fire Department.
- Assists clients with meal planning and preparation, housekeeping, and personal grooming.
- Provides supervision in arts and crafts, cooking, music, hygiene, life skills and other community support groups.
- Engages clients in social activities, and serves as an escort on field trips as needed.
- Documents client incidents and reports client issues and concerns to supervisor.
- Is on-call as needed for emergency situations, as well as provides coverage for other Residential Monitors as needed due to sick leave and vacations.
- May be required to do heavy lifting and other physical activities to assist clients.
- Provides Residential Monitor training for new staff.
- Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Three (3) years related work experience required.
- Must have flexible availability for shifts 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on an as-needed basis.
- Must be available to work at least three shifts per month
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with physically and/or mentally disabled individuals.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Must have a valid IL driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Must be willing to drive clients in personal vehicle to appointments or grocery store as needed
