Per year, across America, thousands of new buildings sport the familiar Morton M.The Residential Product Lines Manager is a fulltime position responsible for defining and continually evolving a set of products, services, and programs that meet evolving customer needs relative to competitors and enable Morton Sales Consultants to effectively sell in the marketplace. The scope of the role includes Morton's Suburban and Homes product lines, and the E-Morton online platform.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Essential Functions
- Oversees the development and growth of the Suburban and Homes product lines, and the E-Morton online platform, performing customer research to support product concepts and designs, monitoring competitor activity, evaluating input from field and sales personnel, and providing direction on relevant marketing and product initiatives.
- Enhances sales capabilities and engagement of the sales force by leading Sales Consultant training, improving training programs and sales materials and providing direct support as needed.
- Works closely with Marketing to ensure Sales Consultants receive sufficient and high-quality leads to achieve sales targets, and continuously improve lead quality.
- Defines and implements product initiatives such as new building templates, new or improved features, and improvements in crew efficiency; develops and oversees multi-year plans for E-Morton.
- Develops the annual budget for the assigned product lines, performing profitability and ROI analysis, requesting capital expenditures, proposing promotions, and evaluating the budget to actual data to determine changes in real time.
- Fosters an environment focused on continual improvement, specifically as it relates to product quality, customer service, and competitive advantage.
- Serves as a safety advocate for Morton Buildings, Inc., promoting a safe and conducive work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or sales
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross functional groups
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
- Ability to translate customer insights into business-building initiatives
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Proven process improvement efforts and results achieved
