FIRST THINGS FIRST WHAT IS A MULTIPURPOSE HOME?
Multipurpose homes are dynamic residential facilities designed for youth intervention. Methodist Home for Children's multipurpose homes provide a safe space for teens who are Level II repeat juvenile offenders, offering guidance and structure that have been proven to reduce the risk of lifelong criminal behavior. Through an evidence-based model, we teach teens to modify challenging behaviors, develop new skills, and recover from setbacks, giving them the tools to create a positive path forward.
WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM MANAGER DO?
The Program Manager plays a vital role in the day-to-day success of the Goldsboro Multipurpose Home, overseeing the home's administration, supervision, and operations. This includes:
* Leadership and Programmatic Oversight: Ensuring the home meets high standards in the delivery of services, quality of care, and adherence to policies and practices.
* Staff and Budget Management: Leading and supporting a team of dedicated staff, managing the home's budget, and coordinating the efficient use of resources.
* Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Building productive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, service professionals, neighbors, and the community at large.
ARE YOU QUALIFIED?
* Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older
* Educational Background: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (human services field preferred)
* Experience: Minimum of three years working with youth populations; previous supervisory experience with child-care workers is required. Direct care experience with adolescents and their families is required.
