Our Crisis programs provide an alternative treatment option in a home-like setting, to avoid or shorten lengthy inpatient psychiatric hospitalizations. The RN at the Crisis Residential Unit (CRU) collaborates with local hospitals, mobile crisis stabilization units, assertive community treatment, pharmacies, and State-Wide Community Mental Health agencies to coordinate on-going care and recovery for those in need. The RN is responsible for an initial comprehensive assessment, overseeing the initiation, administration, and monitoring of medications while supporting the psychiatric prescribers during psychiatric evaluations. The nurse facilitates evidence-based disease management groups and individual recovery sessions using.
