Job DetailsJob LocationNew Martinsville - New Martinsville, WVDescriptionJob Summary: This employee will supervise, monitor and assist clients with daily programs, activities and routines, provide guidance, and maintain the living environment. This employee will ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environments in compliance with established agency standards, licensing regulations, and generally accepted practices.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining awareness of location and behavior of clients at all times
- Proactive positive involvement and interaction with clients during their day to day programming and identified services activities
- Management and monitoring of client's day to day programming
- Facilitating and encouraging clients' consistent participation in daily routines such as wake-ups, showering, incentives, etc.
- Performing a variety of service activities such as wake-ups, showering, incentives, transportation, recreational planning, and participation and administering of medications
- Preparing, serving, and monitoring all meals and snacks
- Assisting co-workers and clients in maintaining a clean, safe and orderly environment
- Following safe work practices and maintaining safe environments in compliance with established standards, regulations, and generally accepted practices
- Promptly reporting any safety or health hazards to immediate supervisor
- Assisting in, and when required, performing client tasks; such as cleaning kitchen and rooms and laundry
- Assisting co-workers and clients in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of public areas of the facility
- Responding to crisis episodes clients may experience in a supportive, empathic, respectful and professional manner
- Communicating with co-workers and the public professionally, courteously, and politely.
- Providing accurate and timely feedback to supervisor and co-workers with regard to client behaviors, responsiveness to programming, and other services and treatment
- Documenting all service delivery and daily programming to the appropriate record, report, log, or chart completely, accurately and according to agency timelines
- Attending and participating in all scheduled meetings
- Actively participating in scheduled supervision to review work performance and any identified goals for professional improvement
- Following directions of supervisors promptly, accurately, and completely
- Participating in any in-service training, workshops, etc, as assigned
- Driving personal vehicle in certain circumstances and as directed in the performance of job duties, which may be during day light and/or after dark
- Working any shift in any YSS program or facility as assigned
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Education and Experience: Requires Highschool Diploma/ G.E.D or 1-2 years of applicable experience; prefers Associate Degree in human services, social work, criminal justice, or related field; Prefers 21-years of age and above;
