SALARY RANGE$35,447.88 - $38,992.72 Annually $1,363.88 - $1,499.72 Bi-weeklyPosition SummaryThe primary function of this position is to assist in the development and the implementation of behavioral training programs for the residents in the area of personal independence. Ability to document and ensure documentation is completed as required.The Work You Will Do Implementation of personal independence training; acquisition or reduction programs to assist individuals to accomplish goals and objectives identified in the Individual Program Plan( IPP). Provide significant hands on training of residents.Provide stimulating leisure activities that are of interests to individual residents to promote a stimulating environment/routine to reduce maladaptive behaviors.In the area of personal independence, the Residential Unit Specialist Lead Worker will assist in the development of functional assessments and develop objectives for active treatment plans. In the absence of the Human Services Senior Supervisor SES, the Residential Unit Specialist Lead Worker will be responsible to perform regular written summaries of progress, addendum's to IPP's and discharge summaries as directed.Provide supervision/assistance of residents and oversight to ensure that designated personal independence training and behavioral reduction procedures are followed. Perform direct care duites as assigned to ensure resident safety and adequate care, appropriate treatment, and maintain residents living area and possessions according to policy and procedure. Act as person in charge in the absence of the HSSS to ensure that the home operates and functions according to policy and procedure.Assists in maintaining required logbooks, progress notes and other regulatory documentation as indicated.Completes all required training. Maintain Sunland's current crisis management prevention and intervention certification as required. Monitor and tracks to ensure assigned staff complete required training and maintain certifications as required. Attends meetings as required, including annual IPP meetings, active treatment meetings, staff meetings, etc.Maintain timesheet, ensuring accuracy and submit timely in accordance with policy and procedure.Assists in monitoring overall cleanliness and maintenance of training areas, including developing work orders as directed.Performs other related duties as required.Minimum QualificationsAt least one year of professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential settingKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities
