Job Description Job Description Responsibilities: A senior independent living community is seeking a Senior Services Coordinator to become part of our team. The property is located on the northwest side of Chicago, IL. Candidates must have prior experience in social services or human services and be passionate about working with adults aged 62 and up or possess a commitment to improving the quality of life for the elderly. This is a full-time position during regular business hours Monday Friday from 9:00 am 5:00 pm. In the event of an emergency, work outside of regular business hours will be required. Investigate and resolve resident concerns Provide superior customer service to all applicants, residents, and former residents Communicate clearly and often with residents, colleagues, vendors etc. via email and phone Explain and enforce property rules and regulations Facilitate resident move ins and move outs, including key distribution and collection of amounts due Conduct unit inspections annually or more frequently Coordinate maintenance requests from residents and monitor maintenance repairs Accurately and efficiently enter data into Yardi Other duties as assigned by Site Manager and Area Manager While the primary job occurs Mon-Fri during normal business hours, must be able to be reached by residents on nights and weekends in emergencies Qualifications: Bachelors degree in social work, human services or fields related to gerontology, and/or 2 years of social services or customer service particularly focused on the elderly - new MSW graduates are encouraged to apply Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to set and manage multiple priorities Previous experience in property management preferred Must have strong work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be well organized Ability to build rapport with people, particularly older people Our Investment in You : Competitive market compensation package Medical PPO plan (provided) Life insurance (premiums paid by employer) Short-term disability and long-term disability insurance (premiums paid by employer) Dental and vision insurance plans 401(k) plan Seven (7) paid holidays each year Fifteen (15) PTO days in first year Applicable Physical Capabilities: General mobility in office areas is required, along with the ability to operate data processing office equipment.
