Annual step increases are based on performance reviews and financial authorization.The Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Resource Administration, is seeking to fill a Resource Administrator vacancy in Augusta.BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This is professional services work in providing planning and research support to Department management. Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of account status, including structure, revenues, expenses, encumbrances and cash balances, and perform budget forecasts on those accounts.
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and payable, including all billing, coding and verification of invoices, monthly monitoring and reporting on receivable age and status, and year-end collection of bad debt write-off recommendations.
  • Coordinating and participating in compilation of updates to the Unified Budget.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of core service arrangements, including facilitity and equipment leases and insurance coverage.
  • Maintaining an ongoing understanding of position authority and status.
  • Financial and budget system oversight, review and improvement, including internal control and standard procedure development.

For more information on the specifics of this position, please contact Sherrie Kelley at: (207) ###-####.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An 8 year combination of education, training, or professional level experience in finance, administration, or grant management.Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
  • A background in managing State government finances, including dedicated funds and grants
  • Experience using AdvantageME, OACS, SQL Cube Reports, and TAMS, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skill with regard to Microsoft Excel.
