  • JOB RELATIONSHIPS
    • Responsible to licensed Charge Respiratory Therapist and Cardiopulmonary Services Director or designee.
  • DEFINITION OF POSITION
    • A Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) is responsible for evaluating and implementing the respiratory care of assigned patients.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional
      • Must be an actively enrolled student in good standing of an accredited respiratory care program and maintaining a minimum grade of 2.0 in all RCP courses.
      • Active registration in State of NC as Respiratory Care Assistant.
      • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
    • Working Conditions
      • Generally comfortable surroundings.
      • Extensive walking and standing.
      • Variable work hours expected (4-12 shifts).
      • Exposure to infectious diseases.
      • Exposure to radiation
      • Moderate noise.
      • Exposure to air borne particles.
      • Exposure to caustic chemicals
      • Risk of electrical shock.
