Respiratory TherapyThe Respiratory Care Shift Coordinator will:
- Coordinate activities of Respiratory Care Staff; ensuring proper completion of all assigned work by RCPs.
- Provide all aspects of therapeutic respiratory care based on established standards.
- Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care according to the department policies and procedures.
- Maintain, evaluate and operate respiratory care equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations in Hospital as appropriate to the ages of the patient's growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adult, and Geriatrics).
Requirements:
- BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) obtained within 30 days of start date.
- Registered Respiratory Care Practitioners trained and assigned to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on a regular basis is required to obtain the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
