Respiratory Therapist Hospital Night Shift 6:30a-6:30p Responsibilities Assesses patient's respiratory needs, plans care, and implements all aspects of respiratory therapy including:
- Mechanical ventilation; invasive and non-invasive.
- Breathing therapy and patient assessment.
- Postural drainage, percussion and bronchial hygiene techniques.
- Bedside pulmonary function.
- Blood gas puncture and analysis, blood gas analyzer operator maintenance and quality control.
- Responds to cardiac arrest and Rapid Response situations. Performs CPR.
- Emergency endotracheal intubation of adult patients.
Requirements
- 1 year of hospital inpatient experience
- Graduate of an approved program of Respiratory Therapy.
- Valid New York State Respiratory Therapy license.
- Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS/CPR certification.
- NRP and ACLS strongly recommended
