PHC's Restoration Technicians are the first responders who work closely with our clients that have experienced water damage. Restoration Technicians are naturally detail-oriented and take pride in restoring damaged properties and making them look new again. They are servant-hearted leaders who are able to connect and build relationships with their teammates and clients. Typical Duties:Water Damage Mitigation
- Be the first responder on site and take steps to mitigate further damage
- Utilize industry-specific smartphone apps and software to document job site conditions
- Extract standing water
- Move contents (furniture) to prevent further damage
- Perform clean demolition of non-restorable materials
- Document conditions (relative humidity, moisture content, etc.) and determine the amount of dehumidifiers and air movers needed to dry the structure.
- Set up drying equipment
- Monitor progress and remove equipment when deemed dry
- Communicate scheduling needs to Coordinator
Mold Remediation
- Contain affected areas and safely remove or clean materials affected by microbial growth
Fire Restoration
- Board up and secure properties damaged by fire
- Move contents (furniture) affected by fire to our facility for cleaning and storage
- Perform demolition and supervise temporary labor during demolition
Previous damage restoration experience is not required for a Level 1 (entry-level) technician, however, some construction or building science knowledge is preferred. For experienced Restoration Technicians, IICRC certifications allow you to enter as a Level 2 or a Lead Technician.
