The Restorative Aide assists in the identification of Restorative needs of the individual residents. Develops plans to meet the residents\' needs; consults with physical therapists, nursing staff and the resident\'s physician as indicated. Initiates the care plan by appropriate communication with all disciplines involved in the residents\' care, assesses the resident\'s needs and recommends care practices in conjunction with the nursing staff, RCM, and CNA. The Restorative Aide specifically addresses range of motion, ambulating, positioning, mobility, transfer and lifting practices, and eating. They may need to assist CNAs on the floor as the workload demands, as well as other duties as assigned. Required: * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. * Minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of related work experience. * Active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant Licensure through the Oregon State. * Board of Nursing. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred: * Working experience in Long Term Care, Assisted Living, Private In-Home Care or Rehab Facility. Duties: * Provides direct Resident care within the certified nursing assistant\'s scope of practice. * Communicate to the RN any observed change in Resident\'s status and responses such as pain, vital signs or intake and output. * Provides appropriate care for geriatric age and diagnosis(es) of Resident. * Provides explanation to Residents (and family if applicable) prior to administering care and answers question within scope of practice. * Knowledge of customer service concepts. * Must be extremely detail oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner. * Communicates effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. * Works as part of a team, in a fast-paced production-oriented environment. * Expresses excellent judgment, discretion and decision-making abilities. * Supports and maintains a culture of safety, quality and positive patient experience. * Maintain patient confidentiality at all times by adhering to the federal HIPAA regulations. * Additional job duties as assigned.
