Job Title: Sales Analyst – Walmart and Mass Market
Location: Minneapolis, MN
We are seeking a result driven and customer-obsessed Sales Analyst to support our Walmart and Mass Market business. The role is responsible for managing sales analytics in collaboration with our sales leadership / key stakeholders. This role focuses on retail and shipment forecasting, order management, and business intelligence analytics reporting for both retail and e-commerce channels. The Sales Analyst will recommend and implement strategies to enhance supply compliance, demand fulfillment, and inventory management to support the company's financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the key team member partnering with sales leadership, brand leadership, and inventory planning teams to execute sales, inventory, and order fulfillment targets for retail stores and e-commerce.
Drive the development of insights and recommendations on new items, promotional planning, merchandising optimization, and pricing initiatives.
- Partner with cross functional teams to provide an in-depth analytical support focused on business solutions in presentation ready formats
- Conduct product and brand analysis to identify opportunities for growth
- Leverage IRI/Circana and POS data to deliver market analysis to evaluate comparative performance of our brands
- Use existing data platforms to create new methodology to analyze business opportunities and risks
- Provide guidance and recommendations to Walmart Team on patterns and relationships in data, along with recommendations and opportunities for revenue growth, new ideas, and creative solutions.
- Deduction management and the administration of Walmart's deduction process
- Lead compliance processes for Walmart and assigned accounts.
- Full item management responsibility on all items on Walmart's Retail Link for both in store and online placements
- Experience extracting data from retail POS systems e.g. Luminate, Retail Link and Power BI
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within PSi and customer to share best practice analysis
- Identify and analyze weekly POS performance and trends to identify risks and opportunities
- Develop strong rapport with vendor partners to support current and future business needs
- Support inquiries on business outlook, review, and special requests
- Prepare reporting for Finance to support net revenue management
- Plan, document, and recap all promotional and marketing program performance
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, emphasizing a strong business background
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data insights, retail sales, or business
- Strong analytical skills with experience in sales data analytics
- Knowledge of IRI and Circana data reporting and Walmarts Retail Link and Luminate systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit, agility, and resourcefulness
