In this role, the retail sales associate will guide customers through the shopping process, from initial greeting to final purchase. Providing insights and support, the sales associate will help strengthen our customer relationships and convert new patrons into repeat shoppers. The ideal candidate for this role will have a knack for engaging customers and resolving their concerns. The retail sales associate should be passionate about people and eager to develop new customer-service skills. Objectives of this role

• Deliver exceptional service to shoppers that results in repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty
• Collaborate with coworkers to provide an exceptional store experience
• Inform patrons about product features and benefits, offering opinions and recommendations when appropriate
• Maintain a tidy shopping environment and welcoming atmosphere
• Represent the Club with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Treat all customers with respect and courtesy

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers as they enter the store and offering assistance
• Addressing customer questions and concerns
• Provide customers with detailed product information and recommendations
• Totaling purchases and processing account charges, and credit card payments.
• Processing exchanges, returns, and refunds according to company policies.
• Restock and organize merchandise on the sales floor
• Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain a clean and organized retail environment
• Opening and closing of the store and following all policies and procedures

Requirements

• Required skills and qualifications

  • Competent math skills, including an ability to make change accurately

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Comply with New York Athletic Club dress code
  Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Experience in retail sales or customer service
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Available to work Weekends and Holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Previous experience as Key-holder
