Overview: The Amarillo Sod Poodles, the Double A Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Retail E-commerce Manager tojoin our merchandise team. The manager will work with the Merchandise Director and will be primarilyresponsible for overseeing all merchandising operations with a strong emphasis on ecommercestrategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, a keen understanding of retailtrends, and proven experience in managing ecommerce platforms.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an ecommerce strategy that drives sales and enhances customer engagement.
- Manage the retail merchandise inventory, including selection, pricing, and allocation of products.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional campaigns that increase online sales.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions on product offerings and merchandising tactics.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of merchandise.
- Oversee the performance of the ecommerce platform, ensuring a seamless customer experience, from browsing to checkout.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor product sales, inventory levels, forecast trends, and markdowns to optimize stock and minimize excess inventory while maximizing sales and profitability of the team.
- Train and manage retail game-day staff on product knowledge and sales techniques
- Work cross-functionally with all organization teams to achieve financial goals.
- Assist with promotional events and merchandise.
- Effectively schedule and direct the workload of the retail staff, including: work schedules, posting the schedules and assuring staff performs tasks at an acceptable level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the sports industry.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and consumer trends.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
