Overview

This is a physically active job where the incumbent will be providing a high level of service to our customers. This role answers questions, identifies products, and directs customers to lumber and building materials. Ensure accuracy of purchased materials, cut lumber to size requested, assist in loading lumber and building materials, and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of store at all times. The fit candidate will start their career on the retail side and train into management.

This role pays $18.50-$19.50 per hour DOE, Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

Expected hours: 40 per week

A Day in the Life

  • Greet customers
  • Actively seek out customers to determine if they need assistance
  • Discover customer needs and appropriately suggest products and solutions
  • Clean, organize and stock sales floor with products
  • Ensure product placement accuracy and pricing accuracy for products on the sales floor
  • Resolve customer concerns in a friendly, positive and helpful manner
  • Cut lumber as requested by customers
  • Answer phone and provide solutions to customer inquires
  • Discover and suggest add-on sales items to customers
  • Sincerely thank customers for their business, and directly contribute to a fun, friendly experience
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two(2) years of college or degree preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Interest in learning equipment
  • Strong interest in woodworking or operating industrial woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to use tape measure
  • Excellent math skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and with others to effectively multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Work Environment

Typical machining/mill environment. Located in Denver. Must be willing to work overtime when required.
