Summary

The Retail Systems Manager helps drive the success of our multi-state retail dispensaries by managing and optimizing our retail systems, with a particular focus on point-of-sale (POS) technology. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Systems & Delivery, this role ensures that our retail operations are efficient, scalable, and align with the overall strategic goals of the company. The Retail Systems Manager oversees employees on the systems team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Retail Systems Leadership: Leads the management, optimization, and integration of retail systems, focuses on POS software, to ensure seamless operation across all retail locations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with marketing, cultivation, operations, retail, and other key departments to identify and implement system enhancements that improve business performance and customer experience.
  • Strategic Insight & Communication: Serves as the primary expert on retail systems, confidently presenting system performance, updates, and strategic recommendations to the Senior Director of Systems & Delivery and other C-suite executives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manages relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring service levels are met and that system improvements and updates are implemented effectively and efficiently.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Leads and mentors the Systems team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development within the team. Administers employee reviews and facilitates corrective actions.
  • Adaptability & Proactive Problem Solving: Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, proactively addressing challenges and seizing opportunities to enhance retail systems and processes.
  • Retail Systems Management: Oversees the management of product catalogs across multiple states, ensuring alignment with state regulations and unique product offerings in each state.
  • Monitors mass data cleanup and alignment tasks outside of retail store operating hours to minimize disruption to daily operations.
  • Liaises with retail storefronts for pricing updates, new product launches, and inventory troubleshooting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred or can substitute experience for degree.
  • 4-6 years of experience in overseeing retail systems for multiple locations and leading a team.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in retail systems management, with a strong emphasis on POS software and retail operations. Experience with Dutchie Point of Sale is preferred.
  • Experience with retail system integrations, vendor management, and the cannabis industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving system initiatives that align with overall business strategies.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with C-suite executives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
