We are currently seeking a Retoucher to join our Orchard Brands team. JOB SUMMARY As a Retoucher/Color Specialist, you have a strong eye for color and detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will be the point person for executing the postproduction of high-end ecommerce and print imagery for the brand. The Retoucher/Color Specialist will work closely with creative directors, merchants and vendors to oversee workflows, deliver effective color accurate product matching while also ensuring quality control for all assets for the site. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all post-production needs to deliver high quality product photography for the brand.
  • Reviews final PDFs of select projects as assigned.
  • Maintains high production/color standards and provides ongoing training and guidance to team.
  • Silhouettes and otherwise prepares images.
  • Evaluates color quality by reviewing swatches/samples and identifying color values.
  • Keeps up to date on latest techniques and researches training opportunities to improve overall image quality according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Monitors adherence to color correction production schedules and oversees resource allocation including staffing, outsourcing services, and department supplies.
  • Responsible for QC of vendor-supplied images.
  • Perform product color matching and ensure consistency across product line. Cropping, resizing as needed.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities assigned as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years professional photo retouching experience in high-volume environment with a focus on color correcting.
  • Associate's degree in visual arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience working in e-commerce/commercial studios.
  • Highly skillful in Adobe Suite: Photoshop CC, Bridge, Acrobat, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Experienced in Capture One.
  • Proficient at using both Apple OSX operating system and Microsoft Office, including Teams, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Understand how to access and navigate file servers and web-based data management tools.
  • Knowledgeable in working with metadata.
  • Through understanding of Color Theory and pre-press specifications.
  • Ability to easily differentiate colors and their content.
  • Possess strong visual skills, attention to detail, and an eye for consistency and color.
  • Self-driven, proactive problem solver that thrives in a creative collaborative environment.
  • Superb organizational skills, strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms to navigate a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while delivering brand standards.
