Return Cashier Part-Time - Bryant Home Center : Job Details

Job Summary:The Return Cashier plays a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly and accurate service at the return counter. The Return Cashier answers incoming store calls and directs callers in an efficient and professional manner to the appropriate department or person. The Return Cashier handles all customer returns, in-house account sales and special orders insuring each transaction is a positive store experience. They also may serve as the store's official greeter, directing customers to the appropriate locations or calling for customer assistance to provide further customer service.Summary of essential job functions:Serve as a central point of store communication and direction for providing excellent customer service.Ensure all returns are placed back on the sales floor and registers are ready for use each morning.Inventory all register supplies (i.e. tape, bags, TVR supplies) are available.Serve as back-up cashier in the event all cashiers are busy to keep lines flowing smoothly.Oversight of all shopping carts and hand baskets so they are ready and available for customer use.Provide support to other cashiers by bagging items and calling for load assistance.Maintain an awareness of all promotions, advertisements and product knowledge.Accurately and efficiently ring on registers and accurately maintain all cash and media at the registers.Communicate customer requests to management.Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked.Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by any manager.RequirementsMinimum requirements:Ability to process information/merchandise through register system.Ability to communicate with associates and customers in a clear and concise manner.Ability to read, count, and write accurately to complete all documentation.Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.Abilities required:Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes and merchandise which entails lifting 30 pounds and perform all functions as set forth aboveAbility to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities (ADA requirements) to perform the essential functions.Salary Description $16-21.25
