Come grow with us!The Returns Clerk is responsible for handling all aspects of returned merchandise, ensuring that all products are processed including defectives, changeovers, stock adjustments, and inbound deliveries. This position involves receiving, inspecting, and logging returned goods, as well as coordinating with various teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with returns. Maintain physical and electronic records to be able to sell merchandise after it has been processed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain records of all returns via data entry and work closely with Returns Coordinator to process proper paperwork
- Update spreadsheets electronically related to inventory, data, etc. using Microsoft Office and/or internal software systems
- Maximize return to stock items by sorting, cleaning, re-packaging and re-labeling as needed
- Store completed projects in the racks and retrieve packing and product when needed using a sit-down forklift.
- Work with Inventory Control to ensure system adjustments are made as product is placed back on shelves
- Return items to pick bins as needed; ensure correct inventory placement.
- Examine and compare merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defect, and date on invoice or other forms
- Scrap unusable returns and communicate with scrap companies to properly dispose of product
- Print labels and properly mark all materials for sale with documents and item list.
- In coordination with QC, record production time and materials for charge-backs and production items on rework projects.

- Ensure trash and cardboard are properly disposed of
- Ensure orderliness of warehouse and work area

- Communicate regularly with supervisor about Department issues
- Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to drive a forklift helpful
- Able to work with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Access
- Read, write and speak in basic English to ensure safety and quality
- Previous experience in a warehouse, returns or logistics role is preferred
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of automotive tools helpful
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
