Returns Lead - Duluth Trading Company : Job Details

Accurately and efficiently process customer returns, retail returns and vendor returns. Accurately and efficiently flow inventory throughout the department through the analyzing process. Review current procedures and strive to improve on those procedures to decrease processing time, increase service levels and improve variable operating cost within the department.

This position is structured to expose the Returns Lead to limited leadership responsibilities so that they can develop leadership skills in the area of operational functions and personnel management.

What You'll Do:

• Prioritize daily work schedule for the department, and work with other departments inside the warehouse to reallocate labor to best meet customer demand and the strategic company goals
• Have a thorough understanding of all returns processing, analyzing, retail retag and outlet
• Plan effective use of department equipment and personnel to meet operating budget and service levels
• Assist Returns Supervisor in refining operating guidelines and monitoring workflow
• Assist Returns Supervisor in coaching and development of staff in order to create a consistently high level of personal motivation and performance among all personnel
• Maintain a monthly report card program for touch bases with all employees
• Conduct annual reviews witha ll assigned employees
• Build cross departmental communications with all functional areas of the company
• Manage the development of menaingful labor and production measurements
• Assure that all actions taken with regard to direct reparts are in accordance wiht established company policies
• Maintain documenation on returned products and performance objectives
• Maintain clean/safe work area
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• 1+ year of supervisory experience in distribution center environment
• Intermediate keyboard and computer experience (MS Excel, MS Word)
• Detail Oriented with high level of accuracy
• The ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• The ability to indentify process shortfalls and submit workable changes
• The ability to stand or walk for the entirety of your shift
• The ability climb flights of staris throughout the day
• The ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods of time
• Frequently lifting up to thrity pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds
• Adjusting or moving objects over twenty pounds in all directions
• Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work areas to another
• Moderate warehouse noise level
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 95 degrees

Compensation Range: $21.50 - 26.80/Hour

Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
