Apply today!The RTS Inspector II accepts full ownership and manages all aspects of assigned aircraft work orders relative to return-to-service documentation from pre-planning to delivery of the aircraft. This position completes AD research; verifies completion of log book research and monitors aircraft logbook entries and related documentation for accuracy and thoroughness of maintenance or modifications performed under Duncan Aviation's repair station certificate; and inspects aircraft airframes, engines, components, modifications and completions, processes and systems using appropriate tools and equipment, as applicable to ensure conformity with specifications and standards as defined in Duncan Aviation's RSGOM for Required Inspection Items (RII). The inspector responds to internal and external customers' request and inquiries related to aircraft maintenance, inspection, interpretation of regulatory compliance issues, and documentation requirements; mentors and evaluates qualified inspectors progress and performance on assigned team to develop regulatory and inspection process knowledge and raise overall quality level of team; and accurately bills time to work orders. Essential Job Functions Manages all aspects of assigned aircraft projects, which includes multiple work orders from multiple shops, relative to quality, return-to-service documentation and airworthiness from pre-planning to delivery of the entire aircraft project through planning, prioritizing, and providing accurate communication with customers and team members as necessary. Performs RII inspections as needed. Mentors and evaluates qualified inspectors progress and performance on assigned teams to promote continuing improvement of overall quality level of team. Provides input to production team leaders on performance of team's qualified inspectors to assist with annual performance evaluations. Coaches and mentors technicians to assist in developing their regulatory knowledge. Completes AD research as applicable. Verifies completion of log book research to identify the maintenance history of aircraft maintained by Duncan Aviation. Reviews on-going and final revisions and entries to FAA required aircraft logbooks and other necessary aircraft related documentation to accurately record maintenance or modifications performed under Duncan Aviation's repair station certificate. In cooperation with the assigned Project Manager and Certification Coordinator, helps manage all aspects of assigned aircraft work orders relative to modifications to provide broad oversight ensuring Quality milestones are achieved and modifications are compatible with existing aircraft configuration and/or other modifications being performed concurrently during work scope. Manages all aspects of company conformity inspections, whether performing personally or coordinating with appropriate inspectors, including ensuring the FAA Form 8130-9 is signed. Responsible for reviewing required data at various milestones, such as FAA Form 337, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), flight manual changes, burn certifications, equipment lists, weight and balance reports, log entries and other data for each project as needed for assigned aircraft to ensure the data package shows compliance for all aspects of the modification. This would include show compliance data package and customer data package. Is competent to assess compliance requirements for certification activi
